My name’s Sarah and I’m a writer and new media specialist with a background in science and cultural institutions. My specialties are digital content strategy, web editing, social media management, and public affairs and media relations.
I currently work at The Wilderness Society as a digital content strategist. I produce online content and study the ways digital environments can be used to engage audiences with The Wilderness Society’s conservation work and mission.
Previously, I worked at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo as a web editor, managing digital content and new media while making the public fall in love with the Zoo’s giant pandas and other animals. I have also worked at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History as a public affairs specialist and as a lab technician in the museum’s artifact conservation department.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in art history and paleoanthropology from the University of Hawaii, and studied at the University of Melbourne. My favorite animal is the otter.
